Over 65% of Candidates Achieve Five Credits as NABTEB Releases 2024 NBC/NTC Exam Results

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has released the results for the 2024 in-school National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations.

NABTEB’s Acting Registrar/CEO, Dr Nnasia Asanga, who announced this at the board’s headquarters in Benin, expressed pride in the timely release of the results.

He highlighted the achievement as a testament to the management’s dedication to advancing education, particularly in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

“This accomplishment underscores our unwavering commitment to the advancement of education, including TVET. The timely release of results will significantly benefit candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions.” Dr. Asanga stated.

According to Dr. Asanga, 44,000 candidates, representing 65.34% of those who sat for the NBC/NTC examinations, achieved five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.

Additionally, 62,235 candidates obtained five credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics.

However, this year’s performance is slightly lower compared to the 2023 results.

In 2023, 39,220 candidates, representing 73.19%, obtained five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics, while 49,529 candidates, representing 92.43%, achieved five credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics.
