The Ekiti State Government has dismissed reports of a purported ₦25,000 Christmas cash grant allegedly being distributed by Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

The government clarified that the information was false and urged the public to disregard it.

In a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Mr Yinka Oyebode, the government emphasized that Governor Oyebanji does not engage in any form of cash grants or distributions through unofficial channels or online platforms.

The statement further warned citizens to remain vigilant and avoid sharing personal information with unauthorized websites or individuals, as these are fraudulent attempts to exploit unsuspecting members of the public.

The government reiterated its commitment to transparency and called on residents to verify any information through legitimate platforms to avoid falling victim to scams.
