The Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji Beyond 2026 (BB26) coalition has lauded Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on the occasion of his 57th birthday, commending his exemplary leadership and impactful governance across the state.
In a statement signed by the BB26 Publicity Secretary, Adesoji Gabriel (AngelGabby), the coalition, comprising forward-thinking young individuals, celebrated Governor Oyebanji’s achievements in agriculture, education, health, and infrastructure.
Among these achievements is the successful completion of the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport (EAICA) in Ado-Ekiti, which stands out as a landmark accomplishment. The airport, which commenced non-scheduled flight operations on December 15, 2024, is expected to revolutionize Ekiti’s economy by facilitating agricultural exports, attracting investments, boosting tourism, and generating employment opportunities.
The coalition, led by Hon. Olalekan Ijidale, also highlighted the governor’s recent salary increment for state workers and appointees, a move aimed at improving the welfare of residents and stimulating the local economy, saying his administration’s focus on local content utilization and unwavering respect for the rule of law were noted as benchmarks for good governance.
The group praised Governor Oyebanji’s philanthropic gesture of redirecting funds meant for his birthday celebrations toward supporting special schools across Ekiti State as a reflection of his commitment to inclusivity and humanitarian service.
It added that the decision, which replaced jingles and advertisements with donations, underscores his dedication to improving the lives of individuals living with disabilities.
BB26 further encouraged citizens to support the governor’s vision for sustained development beyond 2026, emphasizing his passion for responsible leadership and community-driven initiatives.
The coalition, extended warm birthday wishes to the governor, expressing hope for continued progress and prosperity for Ekiti State under his leadership.
As Governor Oyebanji celebrates his 57th birthday, his administration’s commitment to transformative governance and compassion for the less privileged remains a hallmark of his tenure.
