The wife of Ekiti State Governor Dr Olayemi Oyebanji has distributed rice to members of selected groups of artisans to cushion the effects of hardship in Nigeria during this yuletide season.
Distributing the food items in her office in Ado-Ekiti, the Governor’s wife, who was represented by her Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters, Mrs Toyin Adepoju, noted that members of the group were picked from all council areas.

She explained that the two kilogrammes of rice given to each member of the groups invited would go a long way to reduce the burden of buying foodstuff, which prices had skyrocketed due to the economic conditions of the country.
Some of the groups are the Association of Hairdressers, People With Disabilities, bread sellers, Engine oil sellers, photographers, palm oil sellers and street sweepers, among many others.
