As Christians across the world mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Ekiti State Head of Service (HOS), Dr Folakemi Olomojobi, has called on civil servants and residents of the state to reflect on the essence of Easter by upholding the values of sacrifice, love, renewal and hope in both public and private life.
In her Easter message issued on Sunday, Dr Olomojobi extended warm greetings to all Christians in Ekiti and beyond, describing the season as not only a cornerstone of the Christian faith but a call to higher ideals of humanity and service.
She said Easter is a powerful reminder that even in the face of adversity, there is always the promise of a new beginning, saying the life and teachings of Jesus Christ exemplify values, compassion, justice, humility and unwavering service to humanity.
The HOS emphasized that public servants must draw strength from the Easter message and recommit themselves to delivering efficient, transparent and people-centred governance, stressing that service to the people must be anchored on integrity and selflessness.
“Let us recommit ourselves to the ideals of selflessness and commitment to the common good. Together, we can build a more inclusive and prosperous Ekiti where everyone has the opportunity to thrive,” she noted.
Dr Olomojobi also appealed to all residents, regardless of religious beliefs, to use the Easter season to promote unity, peace and mutual respect, urging everyone to reflect the spirit of reconciliation, kindness as well as unwavering hope in their daily lives.
She further encouraged Ekiti citizens to reach out to the less privileged during the celebrations, stating that the true spirit of Easter is found in sharing and compassion wishing all Christians a blessed Easter filled with joy, health and renewed purpose.
