The Technical Adviser on Local Government Project Monitoring and Evaluation to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, Engr. Olabode Adetunji, popularly known as “Water No Get Enemy,” has distributed N400,000 and household items to party members in Ward 4, Efon Alaaye.
The gesture, according to him, was to appreciate residents for their massive turnout during the recent voter registration and verification exercise across the state.
Addressing the gathering, Engr. Adetunji described the large participation as a clear show of support for Governor Oyebanji’s administration and his second term ambition ahead of the June 20 governorship election.

He urged residents not to relent, but to ensure they collect their Permanent Voter Cards and complete all necessary processes, including linking their National Identification Number to their voter credentials, as required by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
According to him, good governance must be protected through active civic participation.
Engr. Adetunji also noted that several infrastructural projects in Efon and across Ekiti State were clear evidence of the governor’s performance, stressing that the people must translate their support into votes.

Receiving the items on behalf of members, the Ward Chairman, Mr. Oluwasegun Sunday, praised the adviser for remaining connected to the grassroots. He also commended Governor Oyebanji for various projects in the area, including road construction and palace renovation.
The Local Government Women Leader, Deaconess Abiola Orire, and Chief Ayeni Funke highlighted key projects such as the Alanoka Road and the Iloro-connecting road, as well as empowerment initiatives by the governor’s wife, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji.
Youth representative, Mr. Olaleye Sanmi, said the governor’s performance had already won the hearts of young people in the area.

Speaking for senior citizens, retired civil servant Mr. Adedayo Ojo commended the governor for paying seven months’ pension arrears and for the regular N20,000 monthly support to local government retirees, describing the move as unprecedented.

The event ended with renewed pledges of support for Governor Oyebanji and the All Progressives Congress in Efon Alaaye.
