Pharmacist Adedayo Oluwasanmi, an aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, has stepped up grassroots consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections, with growing support being recorded across Emure, Gbonyin and Ekiti East local government areas.
The consultation tour, which covered all ten wards in the Gbonyin and Aiyekire axis, drew large crowds of party members, community leaders, youths, women groups and residents, reflecting increasing interest in his candidacy even at the pre-primary stage.
Across communities including Ijan, Iluomoba, Aisegba, Imesi, Egbe and Ode Ekiti, residents turned out in significant numbers, expressing optimism and describing his ambition as a people-driven movement anchored on trust and longstanding engagement with the grassroots.

Addressing stakeholders at various stops, Oluwasanmi pledged to deliver responsive and impactful representation if elected into the House of Representatives.
He said his focus would be on addressing pressing socio-economic challenges through people-oriented legislation, empowerment programmes and constituency projects.
He noted that his aspiration aligns with ongoing development efforts at both the federal and state levels, commending President Bola Tinubu and Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji for their leadership.

According to him, effective collaboration with the executive arm would enhance his capacity to attract federal projects and development initiatives to the constituency.
Oluwasanmi emphasised that representation must extend beyond lawmaking, promising regular engagement with constituents and deliberate interventions aimed at enhancing their welfare.
He also called for unity among residents, emphasizing that collective progress depends on cooperation across political and social divides.

Community leaders and stakeholders across the wards openly endorsed his aspiration, describing him as accessible, credible and widely accepted across different demographic groups.
In Ijan and Iluomoba wards, party leaders commended his consistent engagement and growing influence among youths and party structures.
Similar endorsements were recorded in Aisegba, Egbe Iro and Ode axis, where stakeholders cited his track record in education support, small business funding and social welfare as key factors behind his rising popularity.
Several beneficiaries of his interventions shared testimonies of receiving scholarships, bursaries, agricultural support and financial assistance for small businesses, noting that his contributions predate his political ambition.

Political observers at the events described the level of mobilisation as significant, particularly at a stage when many aspirants are yet to formally declare.
During meetings with party members, Oluwasanmi urged unity within the APC ahead of its primaries, stressing that cohesion would be crucial to victory in the general elections.
He also rallied support for the party at all levels, calling on constituents to back President Tinubu in 2027 and Governor Oyebanji in the forthcoming governorship election in Ekiti State.
Adding a personal touch, his mother, Pharm. (Mrs.) Ajoke Oluwasanmi, a retired Permanent Secretary, affirmed his longstanding commitment to humanitarian service, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver if elected.

APC leaders across the visited wards pledged their support, describing him as a loyal party member with deep grassroots connections and a clear understanding of the constituency’s needs.
The consultation tour is expected to continue in Ekiti East Local Government Area as the aspirant expands his engagement with stakeholders across the constituency.
