APC Ward Members in Ode-Ekiti Endorse Faparusi for Senate

Ward-level members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ode-Ekiti, Gbonyin Local Government Area, have endorsed Hon. Bamidele Faparusi for the Ekiti South Senatorial seat.

Faparusi declared his ambition at a well-attended event in Ode-Ekiti.

The former House of Representatives member cited his record in the National Assembly, which he said included construction of ICT centres and community halls, bursaries and scholarships for students, and empowerment programmes for women and youths.

He told the gathering that he had twice stepped down for the party — in 2019 for Senator Dayo Adeyeye and in 2023 for the current senator, Honourable Yemi Adaramodu.

“I am confident of offering quality, more credible and impactful representation if elected to the Senate” Faparusi said.

The APC chieftain thanked party faithful for their support and pledged to prioritise the needs of Ekiti South Senatorial District.

He also urged members to stay focused on re-electing Governor Biodun Oyebanji for a second term in the June 20 governorship election.

Ward 3 Chairman, Ode-Ekiti, Mr Gbenga Obayemi, and other ward leaders including Mrs Olubunmi Olasenni, Mr Idowu Osayinlusi, and Mr Zachaous Ogunrotifa praised Faparusi’s leadership and his role in maintaining peace and stability in the party across Ode and Ayekire Local government.

They said his performance as a federal lawmaker over 12 years ago “still speaks loudly.”

The ward leaders described Faparusi as the “only prepared candidate” for the senatorial seat and called on other local governments in the district to back his ambition for the development of Ekiti South.
