Oyo Demolishes Kidnappers’ Hideout Linked to Abduction of Bayo Adelabu’s Sister, Her Children

The Oyo State Government has demolished a three-bedroom bungalow in Ibadan allegedly used as a hideout by kidnappers involved in the abduction of the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu, and her two children.

The demolished property, located in the Lako Community along the Aiyegun-Anaye Road area of Ibadan, was identified by security agencies as a key location connected to the kidnapping of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul.

The victims were abducted on June 3, 2026, in the Elewura area of Challenge, Ibadan, in a case that drew widespread public attention and renewed concerns over kidnapping and insecurity in Oyo State.

The demolition was carried out by officials of the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, with support from operatives of the Nigeria Police Force.

The exercise formed part of ongoing efforts by the state government to dismantle criminal infrastructure and disrupt kidnapping networks operating within the state.

According to the government, the action demonstrates its resolve to combat kidnapping, improve public safety, and ensure that properties linked to criminal activities are not allowed to serve as operational bases for criminal elements.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening security across Oyo State and bringing perpetrators of violent crimes to justice.
