…As Residents, Council Workers, Chiefs Pledge Loyalty
Residents and political stakeholders across Moba Local Government Area of Ekiti State have openly declared their unwavering support for the second-term bid of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), commending his impressive strides in governance and development.
In a colourful and energetic possession that saw council workers and residents participate, the Chairman of Moba LG, Hon. Bamidele Fadugba, led a solidarity street walk that culminated in visits to several royal palaces within the council area to drum up support for the governor.

The event, which featured songs and displays of loyalty, was joined by members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), ward councillors and enthusiastic community members.
Participants, adorned in customized All Progressives Congress APC T-shirts, marched through the streets of Otun Ekiti and other communities, chanting pro-BAO slogans and singing solidarity songs in support of the governor’s re-election agenda.
The first stop of the solidarity train was the palace of the Oore of Otun Ekiti, Oba Adekunle Adeagbo, where the monarch welcomed the delegation warmly and commended the political direction of the local government.
The traditional ruler praised Hon. Fadugba for his proactive leadership and described Governor Oyebanji as a symbol of continuity, competence and compassion, praying for the governor’s success in his re-election campaign and called on residents to remain united in their support.

The Obadofin of Otun Ekiti, Chief Akinwale Bamgboye, speaking on behalf of other community leaders, commended the Oyebanji-led administration for setting up a nursing college in the area.
He, however, used the opportunity to appeal for more government presence in Moba, particularly the creation of a higher institution in the local government.
Chief Bamgboye also highlighted key infrastructure challenges, urging the local and state governments to prioritize the rehabilitation of major roads, especially those leading to the school, the restoration of electricity in power-deprived communities, the dredging of blocked waterways to prevent flooding and improved access to potable water.
Other palaces visited during the advocacy tour included the palaces of traditional rulers in Osun, Iro, Osan, Epe and Ira Ekiti, where the council team was warmly received by the monarchs and community leaders.

In his response, Hon. Fadugba acknowledged the concerns raised by the traditional leaders and explained some of the logistical setbacks, especially around the delay in the dredging of major water channels and technical hitches affecting the dam supplying water to the communities, assuring that the issue would be addressed as soon as possible.
He also affirmed that other concerns being raised were already being addressed and that the Oyebanji administration remains committed to providing sustainable solutions across the state.
Hon. Fadugba reaffirmed that the people of Moba are fully behind Governor Oyebanji and will continue to support him beyond 2026.

He emphasized that council workers, residents and various stakeholders within the local government had unanimously endorsed the governor for a second term, citing his people-oriented governance and attention to grassroots development.
As part of the event, Hon. Fadugba was presented with gift by the Oore of Otun Ekiti, Oba Adeagbo as a gesture for the Chairman’s laudable efforts, while residents were sensitized on vital public health issues, particularly the importance of routine immunization for children to prevent diseases such as polio.
Parents were equally educated on how to protect their families from life-threatening illnesses, including cancer.
