The Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) says it has successfully resolved all leadership crises and factional divisions across the country, marking a significant achievement in its efforts to unify and strengthen the organization.
Speaking at a world press conference, inauguration ceremony and youth town hall meeting of the groups in Lagos on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, the National Speaker of YAN, Rt. Hon. Famuyibo Oluwasegun, described the achievement as a new dawn for the organization and Nigerian youth at large.
“We have successfully resolved all leadership crises and addressed factional divisions across all states of the federation. This achievement has restored unity and strengthened the Youth Assembly of Nigeria,” he declared.

While highlighting the outcomes of YAN’s recent working visit to Lagos, Oluwasegun commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for spearheading over 40 impactful projects aimed at infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and human capital advancement.
He also lauded the Governor for appointing Hon. Ogunlende Mobolaji as Commissioner, describing him as a youth-focused and approachable leader.
The National Speaker expressed admiration for the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Engr. Olawande Ayodele, for his proactive engagement with youths nationwide, calling for closer collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and YAN to ensure comprehensive youth development strategies.

The conference also spotlighted the pressing issue of the rising cost of living in the country where Oluwasegun appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to urgently address the inflation of consumable goods and emphasized that such action would renew the faith of Nigerian youths in his administration.
He also congratulated Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede on his appointment as the Chief of Army Staff and commended the Honourable Minister of State for Defense for his proactive measures to enhance national security.
Reaffirming YAN’s commitment to peace and unity, Rt. Hon. Oluwasegun called on Nigerian youths to maintain harmony irrespective of tribe, religion, or ethnicity.
