NYC Honours Ekiti Federal Lawmaker, Omoleye.

The Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Ekiti state chapter, has conferred an award of excellence on the House of Representatives Committee Chairman on Nigeria-Canada Parliamentary Friendship and Lawmaker representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II, Hon. Biodun Omoleye, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of youths in his constituency.

Speaking during the presentation of the award to Omoleye in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, the Ekiti State chairman of NYC, Aare Moses Adedara, said the rationale behind the conferment of the honour on the lawmaker, was in recognition of his unparalleled contributions to youth development and empowerment of the masses.

He described Omoleye as an outstanding legislator who is ever supportive of youth-driven initiatives, as well as being an advocate of the common man.

“Hon. Omoleye embodied hope for the Ekiti youths. He has demonstrated remarkable humility and leadership acumen. His quiet, yet impactful achievements inspired us, and we are honoured to be associated with him,” he said.

In his response, Hon. Omoleye appreciated the youth’s body for honouring him with the award.

He added that the honour was an encouragement as well as another challenge for him to intensify his efforts in initiating and supporting youth-driven initiatives, adding that it is essential for the government, public and private organisations to invest in the youth as they are great assets that can be leveraged to make the country better.
