…Seeks Massive Support for Gov. Oyebanji’s Re-election
The Federation of Ado Ekiti Students’ Union (FASU) has endorsed the continuity agenda of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji; Senator Opeyemi Bamidele; and a member of the House of Representatives, Olusola Fatoba, citing their contributions to development in the state.
The union, regarded as the apex students and youth body in Ado Ekiti, said the endorsement was based on what it described as their track records of impactful representation, visible achievements, and commitment to the socio-economic growth of the state capital.
Addressing journalists in Ado Ekiti, FASU National President, Aare Temitope Adeyemi, stressed that sustaining ongoing developmental strides requires the re-election of the three political office holders.

He noted that continuity in leadership would further consolidate progress and accelerate development across Ekiti State.
The union also expressed concern over recent political developments in the state, particularly within the Ado/Irepodun-Ifelodun Federal Constituency, warning against the mobilisation of non-indigenes to foment unrest.
It described such actions as inimical to peace, unity, and democratic stability.
FASU further urged its members to strengthen unity across campuses by sensitising newly admitted students about the union’s activities, while cautioning against involvement in unlawful acts that could tarnish the image of both the students and Ado Ekiti.
The congress reaffirmed its support for the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, commending his role in promoting peace and unity.
It also called on indigenes to respect traditional institutions and uphold the dignity of the town.

While expressing concern over emerging security threats on campuses, the union urged students to remain law-abiding and avoid actions capable of undermining public order.
It reiterated its commitment to the welfare, unity, and progress of Ado Ekiti students and called on stakeholders to support initiatives that promote peace and collective prosperity.
