Eid-el-Fitr: Dawodu Felicitates Muslims, Seeks Support for Tinubu, Backs Oyebanji Ahead 2026 Polls

A frontline aspirant for the House of Representatives seat for Ekiti North Federal Constituency I, Engr. Olaoluwa Dawodu (EOD), has congratulated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, urging them to sustain the virtues of sacrifice, discipline, compassion and spiritual renewal imbibed during the holy month.

In a goodwill message to mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, Dawodu described Ramadan as a period of deep reflection, devotion and moral rebirth, noting that the 30-day fast not only strengthens individual faith but also promotes collective responsibility towards building a peaceful, just and inclusive society.

He congratulated Muslims across Ekiti State, particularly those in Oye and Ikole Local Government Areas, for their steadfastness and commitment during the fasting period, while commending their role in fostering peaceful coexistence with people of other faiths.

The aspirant praised the Muslim community in the constituency for their maturity and peaceful disposition, saying their conduct has continued to strengthen unity and stability across communities in Ekiti North Federal Constituency I.

Dawodu called for continued support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing optimism that ongoing reforms would reposition Nigeria’s economy for sustainable growth.

He also appreciated the Muslim Ummah for their support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji, noting that such cooperation has aided the delivery of people-oriented policies in the state.

He stressed that the synergy between the government and the people, especially faith-based groups, remains vital for good governance and sustainable development, urging citizens to continue offering prayers for the state and the nation.

The aspirant further encouraged Muslims to uphold the lessons of Ramadan, including self-discipline, generosity, humility and empathy for the less privileged, noting that these values should guide their daily lives beyond the fasting period.

Speaking on the 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State, Dawodu urged the Muslim community to support Governor Oyebanji’s administration, describing the poll as an opportunity to consolidate ongoing development efforts.

He highlighted the inclusion of Muslims in governance, noting that over 50 Muslim faithful currently occupy key positions in the state government, a move he described as a demonstration of fairness and inclusiveness.

Dawodu reiterated his commitment to effective representation if elected, promising to leverage his experience to attract development and give the constituency a strong voice at the National Assembly.

He wished Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration, praying for continued unity, progress and prosperity in Ekiti State and Nigeria.
