‎I’m Most Qualified to Represent Ekiti North — Ayo Arise‎

A former lawmaker and senatorial aspirant for Ekiti North, Ayo Arise, has declared that he remains the most qualified candidate to represent the district at the National Assembly, promising to deliver meaningful development and improved welfare for the people.
‎
‎Arise made the assertion during an interview with journalists in Oye-Ekiti, where he expressed concern over what he described as a lack of visible development in Ekiti North in recent years.
‎
‎The former senator noted that while notable progress had been recorded in Ekiti Central over the past three years, Ekiti North had lagged behind.
‎
‎He said his decision to seek a return to the Senate was driven by the need to address the developmental gaps in the district.
‎
‎Highlighting his past achievements, Arise recalled that during his previous tenure, he prioritised community development and the welfare of his constituents.
‎
‎He cited the establishment of Federal University Oye-Ekiti as a major milestone, adding that the institution has significantly boosted the local economy and improved livelihoods across the state.
‎
‎According to him, the university has created opportunities for residents, students, traders and property owners, thereby contributing to economic growth in the area.
‎
‎On the issue of candidate selection, Arise rejected moves to impose a consensus candidate, insisting that only credible and competent individuals should be presented to the electorate.
‎
‎He questioned the legitimacy of any process that sidelines the will of the people.
‎
‎The senatorial hopeful argued that leadership should be based on proven performance and contribution to development.
‎
‎He added that the district deserves a candidate with a track record comparable to that of Opeyemi Bamidele.
‎
‎Reaffirming his ambition, Arise maintained that he stands out among all contenders for the seat and pledged to build on the achievements of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the district if elected.
‎
‎He urged residents of Ekiti North to remain resolute, assuring them of his commitment to effective representation and accelerated development.
