New Ekiti State Police Commissioner Assumes Office, Promises Enhanced Security

The newly appointed Commissioner of Police for Ekiti State, CP Joseph Eribo, has officially taken over his duties.

He succeeds CP Adewale Adeniran, who was recently promoted to Assistant Inspector General of Police.

Upon his arrival, CP Eribo was warmly welcomed by AIG Adeniran, who expressed his best wishes and urged the command to extend the same support and cooperation to the new commissioner.

In his first official act, CP Eribo inspected the guard of honour and called on the officers and men of the command to remain vigilant and committed to maintaining peace in the state.

He pledged to introduce innovative strategies and modern techniques to bolster the fight against crime in Ekiti State.

Meanwhile, the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Ekiti State Police Command conducted a raid in the Atikankan Area of Ado Ekiti, resulting in the arrest of six criminal suspects.

The operation, which lasted nearly an hour, saw officers thoroughly searching all potential hideouts.

The raid attracted a large crowd of traders and passersby, who praised the RRS team for their professionalism.

They urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that those found guilty are brought to justice.
