Security, Development Take Center Stage as Moba LG Chairman Meets Egbe Omo Otun

In a bid to foster greater collaboration and development in Moba Land, the Executive Chairman of Moba Local Government, Hon. Bamidele Fadugba, received the leadership of “Egbe Omo Otun” in his office.

The delegation was led by the National President of the association, Elder Olalere Aburo, who commended the chairman for his ongoing developmental efforts and progressive vision for Moba Land.

During the visit, both parties engaged in robust discussions centred on critical issues, including security and safety, infrastructural development, and economic growth.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Elder Aburo emphasized the importance of synergy between the government and Indigenous associations, expressing the association’s willingness to work closely with political officeholders and stakeholders from Moba to complement government efforts in achieving sustainable development.

The “Egbe Omo Otun” delegation highlighted the need for a collective and proactive approach toward ensuring the safety of lives and properties across Moba communities.

They advocated a collaborative model where all town-based progressive unions within Moba join forces, not only to support security initiatives but also to help provide essential amenities that improve the quality of life for residents.

A key concern raised during the meeting was the issue of insecurity and the inadequate resources available to local security agencies.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Otun Ekiti, who was also present at the meeting, lamented the persistent mobility challenges facing his command, noting the critical shortage of patrol vehicles and motorcycles, which has hindered effective policing.

The DPO further decried the lack of support from some influential individuals in the community, urging greater responsiveness to the needs of the security forces to ensure peace and stability.

In his response, Hon. Fadugba appreciated the visit and reiterated his commitment towards building stronger partnerships with community-based organizations like “Egbe Omo Otun”.

He acknowledged the concerns raised and assured the delegation of his administration’s continuous efforts to support security agencies and address infrastructural deficits.

The chairman also welcomed the idea of a united front among Moba sons and daughters for the overall progress of the land.

Notable members of the “Egbe Omo Otun” delegation present at the meeting include Elder Olalere Aburo (National President), Dr. Olashinde Bisi (1st Vice President), Hon. Ariyo (2nd Vice President), Dr. Ayegbusi Taiwo (General Secretary), Prince Olatunde Adekunle Segun (Assistant General Secretary), Pastor Awoyinka (Financial Secretary), Chief Kehinde Atolagbe (Member), and Olaniyan Michael (Youth Leader).

The meeting ended on a hopeful note, with both parties agreeing on the need for sustained dialogue, cooperation, and community-driven development initiatives to move Moba land forward.
