Ekiti Hoteliers Warn Against Harbouring Political Thugs Ahead of Elections

The Ekiti State Hoteliers Association has cautioned hotel owners and managers in the state against accommodating political thugs or criminals as the state prepares for the forthcoming gubernatorial primary elections.

The association’s President in Ekiti, Hon. Akin Stephen Abimbola, gave the warning in a statement issued to hoteliers across the state.

He stressed that maintaining peace and security is crucial as the election season approaches.

Hon. Abimbola urged hoteliers, hotel proprietors, directors, and managers to ensure their premises are not used as hideouts for individuals who may disrupt public peace.

He explained that the cooperation of hotel operators will go a long way in ensuring a safe and secure environment for both residents and visitors during the electioneering period.

“By disallowing the use of your hotel premises for such activities, you contribute to creating a safe and secure environment for all,” he submitted.

Hon. Abimbola commended members of the association for their commitment to promoting peace and security in Ekiti State and appealed for sustained vigilance before, during, and after the elections.
