No fewer than 100 Health workers employed under the Impact Project in June,2025, have appealed to the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji to give them permanent employment.
The Health workers who were posted to the Primary Health Centres in the 16 local government areas appealed in a jointly signed statement issued on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti.
According to the statement, their contract with the Impact Project has expired on December,2025 with the expectation that they will be absorbed in the Local Government Civil Service Commission.
The health workers lamented that they have been working hard to ensure indigenes, residents and patients receive good healthcare service delivery but their future on the job is yet to be secured.
The statement says the Officer- in- Charge(OICs) Medical Officers of Health(MOHs) in all the local government areas have tried to reach out to the State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji on ways to absorb the health workers permanently but all their efforts have been fruitless.
The statement, however urges the state government to consider the plight of over 100 Health workers in Ekiti state who might be rendered jobless if they are not eventually employed into the civil service.
The statement adds that the health workers are solidly in support of the second term agenda of Governor Biodun Oyebanji and God will grant him his heart’s desires.
