The Chief Executive Officer of KBF Global Resources Nigeria Limited, Alhaji (Chief) Kazeem Ololade Babatunde, has congratulated Muslims in Ekiti State and across the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging them to imbibe the virtues of sacrifice, compassion and love which the festival symbolizes.
Alhaji Babatunde, who is also the Patron of the Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria, MMPN, Ekiti State Chapter, gave the charge in Ado-Ekiti while receiving members of the association, led by its chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Akeusola during a courtesy visit ahead of the Sallah celebration.
He felicitated with the President General, League of Imams and Alfas, South-West, including Edo and Delta States, Sheikh Jamiu Kewulere-Bello, Ekiti State Missioner of the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Sheikh Abdulsalam Babatunde, the Ahmadiyyah Muslim Society, Sumratul Muminin and other Muslim organisations in the state for witnessing another Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The business mogul urged Muslims and Nigerians generally to always extend hands of love to one another irrespective of religious, political or ethnic differences, stressing that peaceful coexistence remains necessary in view of the current security challenges confronting the nation.
According to him, the prevailing insecurity in the country requires divine intervention, hence the need for fervent prayers for peace, stability and a positive turnaround in the nation’s affairs.
Alhaji Babatunde also stressed the need for Nigerians to shun corruption and embrace the fear of Allah in all their dealings, noting that truthfulness and integrity must be restored in every sphere of human endeavour.
He further advised Nigerians to contribute positively to nation-building by electing credible and competent leaders during elections rather than selling their conscience for monetary inducement.
The KBF Global Resources boss also commended the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, for what he described as his people-oriented leadership style and support for the Muslim community in the state.
Alhaji Babatunde said the widespread love and acceptance the governor enjoys among the people showed that he is God-ordained, urging him to sustain policies and programmes that would continue to attract the affection and support of the people.
The KBF Global Resources boss prayed for continued peace and development in Ekiti State and Nigeria as a whole, while also seeking divine guidance for leaders at all levels of government.
