Delko Holdings Vows to Deliver Quality, Durable Road in Record Time

as construction Hits Asphalting Stage

The contractor handling the construction of the Isaba-Ikoyi-Ikole/Igbemo 20km road under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), Mr. Oluwafemi Aluko of Delko Holdings Nigeria Limited, has assured that the project will be completed according to specifications, with a strong emphasis on durability and quality.

Speaking to journalists at the project site, Mr. Aluko revealed that the road construction, which was awarded to the company in November 2024, was initially scheduled for completion within 18 months.

However, he expressed confidence that the work would be finished ahead of schedule, particularly before the start of the rainy season, to ensure unhindered movement for farmers and traders transporting their goods to market.

He noted that the project has already reached the asphalting stage, with earthworks nearly completed across all communities along the route.

Reaffirming Delko Holdings’ commitment to high-quality materials and construction standards, Mr. Aluko assured that the company would deliver the project ahead of the government’s deadline, demonstrating efficiency and dedication.

“The cooperation of the residents of the benefiting communities has significantly contributed to the progress achieved in just seven months since the project commenced,” Aluko added, acknowledging local support as a key factor in the smooth execution of the work.

Residents of the benefiting communities also expressed their appreciation for the project. Chief Tunde Aluko, the Odole of Ikoyi Ekiti and Chairman of the GRC for the project, commended Delko Holdings for adhering to the approved construction standards and material quality.

He also extended gratitude to Governor Biodun Oyebanji for initiating and facilitating the road construction, emphasizing its importance for economic growth and rural development in the area.

With construction advancing swiftly, expectations are high that the new road will boost trade, improve connectivity, and enhance the quality of life for residents and travelers alike.
