…As Chairman Advocates Grassroots Support for Development

The Chairman of Moba Local Government, Honourable Bamidele Fadugba, joined the Moba chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) for the first prayer meeting of the year.

The event was held on Monday, 13 January 2025, at Olowojorubu Hall, Moba Secretariat, Otun Ekiti.

Designed to set a spiritual tone for the year, the gathering featured discussions and reflections on governance, unity and development.

In his keynote address, Honourable Fadugba expressed gratitude for the unwavering support his administration has received since its inception.

He acknowledged the pivotal role played by the local NULGE chapter in promoting harmony and advancing the council’s developmental agenda.

Highlighting the importance of continuity in governance, the chairman commended NULGE for its recent endorsement of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for a second term, made during an event in Ado Ekiti.

He called on the union to sustain its grassroots support, emphasising that consistent leadership is essential for achieving sustainable growth.

Speaking on behalf of the union, the Moba NULGE Chairman, Comrade Joseph Taiwo Adeseko, praised Hon. Fadugba for his administration’s achievements, particularly in prioritising workers’ welfare and community development.

He also presented the council staff’s requests, urging the administration to address pressing issues affecting their well-being.

The spiritual highlight of the meeting was an inspiring sermon delivered by Pastor Femi Afolayan, titled “Development Through Transformation” where the cleric emphasised the power of individual contributions to societal progress.

He encouraged attendees to embrace personal and professional changes as a foundation for collective development.

The programme concluded with an interactive session, during which Honourable Fadugba engaged directly with attendees to address concerns raised during the meeting.

He reassured participants of his administration’s commitment to fostering unity, improving welfare and sustaining the developmental milestones achieved so far.

The prayer meeting served as a unifying platform for reflection and collaboration, reaffirming the shared vision of progress for Moba Local Government in the year ahead.
