NULGE Chairmen Storm Otun-Ekiti, Commend Hon. Fadugba’s Exemplary Leadership, Back Oyebanji’s Re-election

In a powerful display of solidarity and comradeship, all 16 Local Government Chairmen of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Ekiti State converged on Otun-Ekiti on Thursday for a high-level conference hosted by Moba Local Government.

The gathering, which underscored unity within the union, featured a special courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Moba LG, Hon. Bamidele Fadugba, at his office.

Leading the delegation, Comrade Adedayo Olajide, Chairman of NULGE in Ilejemeje Local Government and Conference Coordinator, extolled Hon. Fadugba’s leadership style, praising his commendable interpersonal skills and people-centred approach to governance.

He described the Moba Council boss as a unifier and team player, urging him to sustain his momentum in delivering good governance to the people.

“Great leaders are always expected to do more,” Comrade Olajide stated while expressing the union’s admiration for Fadugba’s performance so far.

In his remarks, Hon. Bamidele Fadugba expressed profound appreciation for the visit, describing it as a morale booster.

He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting staff welfare and creating a conducive working environment across the council.

He also used the opportunity to pledge continued support for the re-election bid of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), whom he described as a transformational leader with unmatched achievements.

“Governor Oyebanji’s track record speaks for itself—from the implementation of the new minimum wage and the clearing of pension arrears to the provision of free healthcare services and numerous developmental projects across the state have positioned him far ahead of any opposition, leaving no space for anti-BAO sentiments in Moba Local Government. His second term is not just deserved; it is essential for continuity and progress,” the Chairman noted.

Hon. Fadugba charged NULGE executives to remain worthy ambassadors of Ekiti State and play a frontline role in galvanizing grassroots support for the Governor’s second-term ambition.

Among the union leaders in attendance were Comrade Adeseko Joseph Taiwo (NULGE Chairman, Moba LG), Comrade Ogunsakin Ademola (NULGE Chairman, Emure LG and Treasurer), Comrade Erinlomo Olumide (Chairman, PTD and Secretary), Hon (Alh) Adebayo- Ibrahim ( SLG) and Com Mrs Bodunde TAIWO(HLA) alongside several other key stakeholders.

The meeting wrapped up on a friendly and interactive note, marked by camaraderie and mutual respect—further cementing the strong bond between the Moba LG administration and the workforce it serves.
