The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Gbonyin/Ayekire Constituency, Hon. Olalekan Ijidale, has expressed deep appreciation to party leaders, members, and residents of the constituency following his victory at the party’s primary election ahead of the general election.
Hon. Ijidale, a former Director-General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Local Content, described his emergence as the APC flag bearer as a collective victory made possible through unity, dedication, and a shared commitment to the development of Gbonyin/Ayekire.
In a statement issued after the primary, the APC candidate particularly appreciated the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, whom he described as a visionary leader, mentor, and builder of people.
He noted that his opportunity to serve as the pioneer Director-General of the Bureau of Local Content under the Oyebanji administration greatly shaped his leadership experience and strengthened his passion for public service.

The APC candidate also thanked party leaders, ward executives, supporters, and members across Gbonyin/Ayekire Local Government for their overwhelming support and trust during the primaries.
He assured the people that he would justify the confidence placed in him through quality representation, accessibility, and people-oriented leadership.
