No more clashes: Ekiti Trains MDA Officials on Grievance Redress to ensure Crisis-Free Projects.

Ekiti State is equipping MDA officials with skills to handle public complaints before they stall projects.

The push came at a capacity-building session on Grievance Redress Mechanism in Ado-Ekiti, led by Ekiti Knowledge Zone Project Coordinator, Miss Lolade Olutola.

She said the Zone was built to drive economic growth and innovation, but that only works if officials can engage citizens without crisis during projects.

To make that happen, Olutola said the Programme Implementation Unit will run regular training so MDAs can operate in a knowledge-driven, enterprise-friendly space.

Environmental Safeguard Specialist Mr Ayodele Aluko told participants that grievances are unavoidable in government projects, but the training will reorient officials to manage them.

He praised the state government, AfDB, and partners for the programme and asked attendees to share the lessons across their departments.

Resource person Mr Biodun Kehinde added that grievance management is make-or-break for project success. Complaints will come, but trained civil servants can keep implementation conflict-free and socially sensitive.

Officials at the training included Mr Segun Adekola, Mrs Toyin Ayodele, and Dr Nafelix Oloketuyi, all from MDAs with projects that may trigger public grievances.
